Product/Service: Oval Alloy Race slip-on exhaust
Manufacturer/Provider:
Micron

In considering a new exhaust system for the RR, the choice was simple. My choice was based on a criteria of the system being:

Micron is well reputed for being rated high in ALL of the above.

As I didn't see Micron listed yet in the sales guides at the shop, I gave them a call just in time to find out about their release of the new line of pipes for the RR.

Opting for the "Stylish yet Functional", I ordered the Oval Alloy Race slip-on with the Crimson red finish.

About 4 days later it arrived.

What's in the box?

Exhaust can, brushed finish mid-pipe, clamps, springs, hangar, spring tool, stickers & ample installation instructions

The first thing I noticed in difference (aside from the gorgeous color) is the weight. The stock system weighs in at 13lbs, and my scale is registering around 4lbs for the micron! Quite a difference...

The view from the back of the stock and Micron pipes shows the Micron slightly smaller in diameter.

I also talked to Doug at Micron about the small insert in the rear of the pipe. He indicated that to meet noise requirements of certain race organizations, they included this. Removal is but a drilled rivet away!
