It's not really plausible, but if that's the deal you got, then you got a helluva deal! :)

ok Ill take a pick of my invoice of my 03 this weekend and post it. I dont have a scanner.  THe place is lake hill motors in Mississippi. They have caused a lot of problems with our local dealers. Since they move so many atv's they sale the bikes cheaper. I dont know why or how they do it but they do.  It has forced the 3 dealerships with in 30 mins of me to lowere there prices.  Now you do have to pay taxes when you get home. That worked out to  a total of about 7600 for me. it was 3hundered and some odd dollars for tax and titel .

On there website it says 7800 for the 05 but when I called them they said 7399.

Dont raise the old bull $hit flag on me now..  ::)

learn wtf OTD means.  OTD means AFTER or INCLUDING all extra charges like tax, title, registration, freight, etc.  u're quoting sticker prices u m00f.

so i'll take down the bullshit flag and raise the ignoramus flag instead  ::)

or seeing every state has different regulations on tax and title just don't include that in the OTD price when comparing prices.  I paid 7500 for my 03 not icluding Tax and Registration.
Bring on the squids, I need part for my bike.

Well, yeah.  Last year we were at $7400 if you lived out of state and paid your own taxes/reg.

But I'm still here to tell you that $7399 is BELOW the invoice price.  Period.

I can tell you that I could sell you the same bike for $5000 as well!  Come on down...

Bike $5000
Freight $1750
Assembly $1550
Documentation fees $400
Idiot surcharge $600

And I'll let you pay your own taxes & registration, and HEY, Look at that!  Your $5000 bike is STILL below MSRP.  What a deal you're getting!  Would you like me to finance that for 84 months while we're at it?
Jesus would have seen my blinker and let me in you dick!

 :P

The lowest I seen without paying tax was 7950 but at that price is still only 2 hundred cheaper than if I buy it locally.  I already calculate if I pay 7950 and paying CA tax and reg.. it will be around 8800. and there is one dealer in L.A is selling it 8990.00 so it not worth my time to buy it out of state.. just dont want to deal with DMV and the hassle to save couple of hundred.

I understand that.. The best price I could get on my 03 here locally was 9000 some odd dollars... I called lake hill in Feb 2003 wich is  a 4 hour drive from here.. I said.. whats your out the door price on a 600rr... he said 7299.99 but you have to pay taxes on it when you get it back to your home town. I said ok.  I called my dmv gave them the purchase price of 7299.99 and my address they told me the taxes I thanked them and hung up. Here I was looking at a 4 hour drive for a 03 rr in feb 03 for a final price of 7600 and some odd dollars or a local dealer out the door with tax titel for over 9000.00  so I had a friend take me and I rode her back home.

THey even advertise they sale under invoice. why not just get there number and call them and confirm it instead of telling me I didnt pay what I did for my bike. good grief I try to give a hand to someone and I get told basically that Im lieing.  Sorry for even putting a post in this one ...

the best price Ive seen on a 05 600rr from a local dealer was 8799.00 by the time its out the door there a tad over 10,000with taxes.  lake hills website says 7799.00 but the sales man on the phone said 7399.99 I called today.. again to make sure.

so if I buy from lake hill again Im looking at about 7800.00  after I get it back and pay my taxes. Again before someone calls me out check yourself..

heres part of there price list from the web site.

We buy our 05's from Storm Lake Honda in Storm Lake Iowa. Through them we get them for 7600.00 out the door. 712-732-2460. Ask for Larry (the owner) and tell him you were referred by Lithium Motorsports. They support our race program and our customers.

Malki, I won't argue with you on it.  If they sell it for that, I'm absolutely amazed, and at a lack of understanding as to how they can possibly do it.  And for what it's worth, the "idiot tax" wasn't directed at you, I just needed another line item for my sales plan in the post.

If you can get it at that price, absolutely, go for it.  I just hate to see people go to a dealer and get the bait-n-switch.  I walked out of a +$80k purchase after I was told I was "mis-quoted".  I took my business elsewhere.  I see it happen all the time, so I apologize for jumping on you over it when I don't know for *fact* what this individual dealership can sell them for.

I've seen this happen to many times.  They give you the price you want then when it comes time to sign paper work there is a 100 fee for this a 150 fee for that and before you know it they final price is like 500-1000 more than the agreed price.  I have walked on a few dealerships because of this.
