Has been years since I had my last 600RR and got the itch again and getting a 2010 model this week.  Just wondering it is 2 years old but only ridden 2600km, the guy had no time to use it.  It only had the dealer 1000km service a long time ago.

Do you think I need to change the oil as it has been sitting in there a long time? But hardly been ridden.....

Yes, Yes, Yes. I would say ride it around a bit, maybe 50km, just to stir it all up, then new oil and new filter, definitely.
