Spring Upgrade
« on: March 03, 2014, 01:44:05 PM »
I'm planning on doing more trips deeper into the mountains this year and wanted to cover a little more of the trip if possible. So I broke down and got a little upgrade.

I've got a white edition and I love it, I just use the app on my phone for a remote though.

I also have the Android app and was playing around with it, pretty cool. I'm not sure which I'm going to use more while riding, the app or the remote. Won't know for a few weeks yet. But it's definitely a lot more complex (not harder to understand just more features), then my Hero 2. Looking forward to getting some new mounts on the bike and trying out some new angles.

The 3/3+ crank out some amazing video...I've really enjoyed using the time lapse modes to capture sunrises/sunsets, and project time in the garage, haha. I love the app, haven't used the remote ever. Only downside of them is that the wi-fi eats through the battery like crazy! Even still, a super amazing feature of the app is finallly being able to compose your shots/angles before shooting a single frame. No more guesswork, just adjust til you like what it sees, then go for it.  Congrats, man!!
