More Power!
« on: June 07, 2012, 02:32:58 AM »
I am wanting to get more torque and hp on my 2009 cbr600rr, but i have no idea what the best purchase would be for my bike? Now I do know a power commander, chain and sprockets would obviously make an increase. I am just wanting to know if their are any mods someone has read about or been told to do in order to increase the bikes preformance.

If you don't care about limiting your real top speed to like 140mph, you can go +3 on the rear sprocket, and if you have the $$, do a 520 conversion at the same time, replacing both sprockets and the chain.

It adds a lot of punch to the bike. This is what I ran at trackdays, since I didn't care about the speedometer there, but if you plan to ride it on the street with that gearing, you'll need something like a speedo-healer.

Flush your coolant? Put in some Motul 50/50? Have you tried water wetter? My 03 only gets hot in traffic, on the highway it cools right off. You shouldn't be running that hot while on the freeway, unless you live in a really hot climate?
