oooh, total solar eclipse? didn't know about it. not that i would've been able to see anything, it was night here. this reminds me of a documentary i saw some time ago... moon is geeting farther away from us, so pretty soon(cosmos time), total solar eclipses will be a thing of the past, as moon won't be able to cover all the sun.

Cloudy here also in NW Cow Town. I went out about 1am and you couldn't see a friggin thing.

Oh and if anyone is wondering what that white spec is in the bottom right of the picture (scroll over), it's Jupiter. I was at the Rothney Observatory in September viewing it and four of it's 63 moons. Quite the sight actually when you get her up close.

Rain was on its way in to my part of Cali so heavy cloud cover only let me see it very faintly.  Went outside at the peak at 11:41pm PST and saw it start to go away.  Too bad it was so cloudy.  I'm just looking forward to the total solar eclipse in may of 2013!

Yeah the clouds and rain took away all possibilities to see it here in So. Cal.
