First crash-need 2007 parts!
« on: August 15, 2009, 12:50:13 PM »
After 22,000 miles and 2 years of riding on this bike, I wiped out.  Got spooked by a deer that came up out of a creek bed on my left side while on my way home.  I got on the front brakes and managed to not hit the deer, but I did steer too close to the lower part of the crown of the road where gravel lives and I lost the rear.  I am extremely sad.  My bike was pristine before this, as many of you know, and I'd like to get it back that way.

Anyway, I need a tail cowl and a right side (non chain side) cowl in Black, preferably with paint in really nice shape.  If I have to go new OEM, I guess I will, but I'd rather not.  I don't need that whole mid fairing assembly since my V shaped piece is fine, just that gloss black upper part that comes to a point under your right knee.  I also need the right rear turn signal as it got munched too.

The clutch cover managed to get scraped too, just a little despite the frame slider doing a great job.  You guys think it's worth all the work to take that thing apart and replace it??

Thanks!!   ;D

Ha, thanks guys.  Yeah, physically, I'm really sore, but I've had way worse.  "All the gear, all the time" saved my ass, yet again. Better to have to replace some gear and plastic parts than have medical bills, ha.

I actually decided on Woodcraft case protectors instead of replacing the clutch cover.  Installing the slider will actually cover the small damaged spot that's there now, and keep it from happening again, so that's "fixed."

i have the tail section and turn signal. the tail has the honda rcaing carbon fiber trim piece and a small scuff that can be buffed out. i have the turn signal as well but i cut the connector off so i can use it for my flush mounts.

not sure if i have the upper portion of the fairing i will look.

I was gonna say the same thing about my RR turn signal but if he has both pieces then that is a better bet.  one person shipping instead of two.

you know, if I didn't think you'd lock me up I would have gotten black...but my white keeps me more visible at night.

Phoenix is gay. I have an 07 which is better and I'm doing custom color to get rid of the silver. I would rather have this...
