Fret, is that Aprilia street legal yet? Say no, so I don't have to buy one.

Hey, JB...how about that PCIII??

The Aprilia SXV/RXV is one sick ride... I got to ride a SXV450 last year .  They make the Husky 610's look like a starter bike.   Too bad they stupid expensive, and have insanely short service intervals (every 20 hrs I heard for a "street" bike ::) ), and the first gen versions have been poping motors real quick...

Hey Jason, have you had the suspension worked yet? What kind of work have/will you have done?

And are we going to see some pics of you backing it in around the SM tracks next year?

Not yet... I was actually riding it up until Wednesday of last week.  I still haven't decided exactly what I'm going to do with the suspension yet.  Right now I'm thinking a custom Penske rear and just some springs and valving in the, but I've been keeping my eyes open for a Ohlins forks at a good price.

The only thing I've added since doing the review has been bolting on the LeoVince X3.  But I was pretty surprised at the difference it made - After Pulling off the Ex-up Valve & cables it actually smoothed out the on/off throttle hesitation at low speeds a little.  And it sounds great - it came with 2 different tips and a spark arrestor so I had 4 possible combination ( loud, loud /w spark arrestor, quiet, quiet W/ spark arrestor) - I ended up going with the quiet , but it's still a hair loud fro my taste, but not bad.   I do have a PCIII for it I just haven't installed it yet because I haven't had time to get it to a dyno for a baseline & mapping.

And are we going to see some pics of you backing it in around the SM tracks next year?

OOHHHH.....
Japanese market special edition.

Found someone who imports the bodywork, but at over $600... a little pricey for me.

Yeah Jason that bike looks like a fun time.  I've always wanted to ride one.  I think a SM would be something I would choose if I were to get a street bike.  Riding a 600 doesn't appeal to me as much, maybe if I had one with a stock motor I guess.  Well if anyone asks at the track it's stock, just picked up some erion bodywork

I'm back to thinking about getting a WRX. Insurance would be half as much as the CBR!

Hey Jason, did you change the tires out yet? This guy says he's using BT-016s in a 150 and that there is plenty of room for the chain, no pic though. Just wondered what your thoughts were.

Nope, Haven't changed tires yet.

I saw that guy using the BT-016's.  I also head someone else using another brand 150 and he said no chain rubbing either, but... I've seen pics of a 150 power that was rubbing so who knows.
But I'm not a big fan of using a sportbike tire on a super moto bike because a sportbike tire is designed to work with a 400lb bike plus a 170+ lb rider, not a 300lb bike plus rider.  So I have concerns about getting the tires up to a constant working temp during normal riding.  But I've been eyeing up the Continental Contiforce SM Supermoto Tires,  they've been getting good reviews and are designed for supermoto's...
