Rear Stands
« on: February 20, 2007, 01:32:50 PM »
I am looking for a rear stand. Prefer Pitbull, woodcraft, or some other brand of like quality.

If anyone has a link to a preferred vendor I would appreciate it as well!  :thumb:
Cherry as in mint or as in cherry red. And if cherry red, wine cherry, wild cherry, black cherry, or mint cherry? Actually do you have some mint tires in minty green, or mint & chip?  ;D

check with Lithium, Surfside moto or moto-liberty.

Or you could call and just tell them you were coming from here and you support GENUINE PRODUCTS, not rip-offs...
Jesus would have seen my blinker and let me in you dick!

Found some silver Cycle Cat rear stands for $167.00 shipped.
What do you think of the quality of these versus pit bull?

The CycleCat stuff is great quality, I've got a bunch of stuff from them on my Duc.  but I've not see the new stands in person yet.  They are all true "racing" guys so they don't do anything half-assed.

Pit-bull quality stuff is great as well, I've used it for years.

Cycle Cat Rear Stand Cycle Cat VS. Pit Bull.
Cycle cat is configurable for spools, or not.
It looks like cycle cat is easy to use for single person.
Is Pit Bull the same way?
I can get either for around 150.00.
I like the cycle cat one.
Can anybody talk me out of it?

Thanks Rob. Can you get a bike up on the pit bull rear by yourself? Is it as easy as the cycle cat brochure portrays it?

I've never had a problem getting the bike up by myself with the Pit-Bull.

Vortex and Pit-Bull are the two that I've had experience with. They are both pretty nice and work great, even with one person, but I prefer the Pit-Bull. Just because of the colors...

Well against the advice of all you learned individuals, I decided to try out the Cycle Cat rear stand. It looks like its built to pick the bike up off of the sidestand and since i would really hate to drop my bike trying to get it up on the rear stand the first time, I figured it was worth the extra 30 or so bucks.

I will give er' a good, thorough, well -pictured review when it gets here. :thumb:

Thanks for yalls' input and thanks for your help also Rob!!

The Cycle Cat stand looks like it's made for pussies...hence the word "cat" in the name...enjoy the stand Grady...don't break a nail.
