Where do you put them-place them?
« on: April 02, 2006, 10:45:31 PM »
I've been ridding for about 30 years and have ridden from mopeds to scooters to trail to muscle to cruisers but... I just got a cbr and the ridding position does my privates no good. I've been put close to tears several times on unexpected bumps and under hard breaking. I ride close to the tank and have to sorta not sit on them and up and against the tank. I've considered a cup but not sure if I want to do that. What do you do? And please don't crap this thread, I know Its wide open for poking fun at , so lets try to keep it clean.Thanks.

I had exactly that problem, but nor more.

Bought a set of "Stomper" grip pads for the tank, and now use my knees to help me keep well back in the seat. 1st track day looking at the pictures had a 4-5" gap between the back of the seat and my butt.

Prior to this I was always jamming into the tank, using the grip pads, and proper knee position, I seldom slide forward any more.

It also helps your body postiong and hanging off. Before I had to swivel my hips to hang off, now it is a strainght lateral shift of my butt and upper body.

Try them, you never go back.

I can't find any stomper grip pads anywhere, but I do think I know what you mean. Like a tank protector from the jacket zipper  but on the side with a friction texture to hold. If you have a link to where I can find one please send. Thanks.

:P  This is funny.  I'm sure everyone has experienced this.  There was one time I hit a bump that I didn't see so hard, I had to pull over and take a few deep breaths.  I guess the only real solution is to not sit so close to the tank.  But, that cup idea is not a terrible one! :P

Just tell those gixxer riders to put thier helmet on the right way instead of it just sitting on the top of thier head backwards.  OH...and mention there is a starbucks around the corner...they will forget all about racing to park thier bike.

Gixxer riders don't have that problem because they have enough room in the "trunk" of their bike to remove their balls and place them in storage during the ride.

The worst is when you're wearing jeans and you have that seam separating your boys, and all of a sudden leftie wants to jump the seam and visit righty.  PING!  Man, that smarts...

Only have that problem on the zuma.  On everything else, I'm wearing leathers.

But I do zip-tie my member to my calf so that it doesn't drag on the ground...
Jesus would have seen my blinker and let me in you dick!
