I think stock is beautiful, don't let anyone talk you into fucking up your bike so you can be "different!"

Welcome to the site, you have a beautiful bike...that silver looks pretty sharp!

Yes, join the dark side Fret....Actually, Harley people almost NEVER leave their bikes stock...except for me.  All I have on the v-rod is some Screamin Eagle slipons and different grips...the rest is all stock.  No extra overpriced crome crap for me

How can you say that all modifications are bad?  I agree that some stuff that people do to these bikes looks horrible, but you have to like SOMETHING out there in the aftermarket world.

Actually, it doesn't matter what anyone else likes, it's what the person who owns the bike likes.  Aftermarket stuff adds personality to your own bike.  I happen to try to keep my stuff as close to stock as possible because that's what attracted me to the bike in the first place.  For me, all I want is a different wind screen and maybe a seat cowl. Conservative, but it's what I like....and cheaper 8)

thanks for the warm welcome... yeah i'm not a fan of red or black bikes thus the choosing silver...  I kinda like the 2004 blue and gray ones but i couldn't find any leftovers... I'm from Western Pennsylvania for all those who are wondering...any one else in the area?  need to find people to ride with haha.  Yeah the only aftermarket things i am lookin at doing are fender elim, and POSSIBLY a windscreen (black chrome) but i'm not sure yet. I'm coming from a world of cars... and let me tell you two wheels is WAY the hell more fun than 4 :-)  although smoking a 1994 dodge viper in a 1991 nissan 300zx TT was alot of fun :-)

squiDki11er if you could post some of them pics i'd love it, already been looking at how to do my own.

+1 I am not going all out and crazy with mods on my bike, it has enough power as it is, I dont need more, just make it more dangerous.

Welcome and congrad, I agree with you on the blue one, maybe Honda will bring it back next year..  :thumb:

There ya go!  its super easy..like 6 bolts all together..all you need is a license plate frame, a grinder/hack saw and a wrench...dont worry about the hacksaw/drill thing...id never hack my bike up..its just a simple grinding.

I hate the beach, I get sand in my crack.

Why don't you figure out where he lives first to see if it's feasible for him to ride all the way overe here for a sunday ride.

But you do like guys with happy trails, right? :P  Even if y'all lived far from him he'd still be down to meet up and ride.  I will ask him what town he lives in and get back to ya.

Ok first off... i don't really like to walk esp on beaches... if i did i wouldn't have bought an 8000 bike, secondly yeah .....HOWEVER I live bout an hour north of pittsburgh in a shithole town of Bulter..  And thanks squiDki11er for the pics... will come in handy once this thing gets broke in and i actually feel like taking it apart... normally i tear into shit a few days after i buy it... but this time not lol....

and yeah i'm game for riding anywhere... all the dumb d*cks around here aren't worth riding with.  They think gixers' are the best. My boy told me last year when he got his 01 f4i that he "settled for the honda over a gixer" i almost b*tch slapped him for saying that... cause truely only a b*tch would ever say that...

???  The only two companies I'll ride are either Honda or Yamaha. I started with a Yamaha in highschool, then went to a F3, then a R6 last year..though a lady decided it'd look nicer under her rear bumper while I was shopping  :-X and finally I've picked up a '04 RR..never would I consider riding a GSX-R after I rode my buddies 750.

Yeah i hear ya... rode 1 gsx-r 600 and it was nice... but i'm WAY more impressed with the rr.  its just more solid all the way around.  What would we all do if there wasn't a honda?

I'd get another R6  8)  I'm looking at getting another one as a track bike anyway.

exactly..I'm lucky that both my parents support my hobbies..both SCCA and my motorcycle addictions (which includes track days). I work and play..no point in paying for rent.
