This weekend was the first "real-world" test of my R6 with the reflashed ECU. All I can say is "wow!" When I put it on the dyno, I didn't see any peak HP difference but the acceleration on the track was incredible! Quite happy!
Unfortunately, I crashed but check-out the vid: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=2126817615643

Now... if a reflash it could do something about that start :spank:
Hope you didn't get too beat up...
-
I know, my starts always suck! I bet if I could get a better start, I'd most certainly finish better. So be it... Daytona was going to be my last race with it, so I'm not even going to fix 'er up.
-
why did you flash it then?
anyway, i hope you're ok!
-
I'm the regional dealer; I did it myself... Fringe benefits of the trade! 8)

so basically you did it because you can? Lol
-
LOL, yeah I guess I did... :)
-
What more reason do ya need! Now, if you could just find a way to flash the 600rr ECU...
-
3 weeks and we'll have it ready for the public. The Honda ECU was difficult to crack, but we got it done. Now we are just testing and handling the logistics of distributing a reliable product to all you fine folks.
-
i like that!!

"Hello William,
We have completed the CBR1000RR and 600RR but it is still being beta
tested on a couple of race bikes. We are very close to releasing this to
the public and it will be available very soon. We are expecting release
toward November and we will keep you informed.
Thanks, Taige

-
not yet
-
well at this point they got till march hahaha

I talked with Amber via PM yesterday and actually... If you get your ECU to Superbike Toy Store by Dec 10th (give them enough time to get it to ECUnleashed by the 14th) you can get it re-flashed! :thumb:

Pretty good deal @ $450 ish... Consider, if you can find, a "ST" HRC ECU (by itself) it would cost you $550 and it will take forever to get... :banghead:
Contact Amber or Patrick for more info.

jason, can you tell what the gains were? the picture is so small that i cant read it.
-
looked like it was around 114? i cant tell hahahaha
-
I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing we're looking at 3-4 HP... But more importantly with the re-flash you also get...
- Better ignition timming curve
- Different deceleration map
- Increase the rev limiter
- Revised idle (race Idle - higher idle)
Where it's really going to be noticed is with the throttle response.
-
would I still need a pc?
-
To fine tune the Fuel map - Yes
