Title: Swedish Candle
Post by: Wrench87 on July 01, 2010, 02:54:14 PM
Just found this one out last night when we were havin a fire...don't know if any of y'all know about them, so I'm sharing some wealth haha

Get a large log, the size you'd use as a chopping block, make sure one end is flat (don't want it tipping over)
Take a chainsaw and make 4 cuts across the top, down to a couple inches from the bottom
soak some firestarter into the middle
light

These bad boys stay burning for a long bloody time.  Just need to toss a stick or two in the middle once in a while to wick the flames up and keep it going

A) My wood is thick enough (giggity)
B) My wood is not loaned to other dudes
C) What kind of man doesn't have a chainsaw? lol

I s'pose a hand saw would do the trick, but it'd be a bitch to do haha.

So where's your axe then cosmo? lol

And yeah, it's definitley a sweet idea.  Especially when you're out camping and don't want to use a ton of wood you have to pay for

A sawzall could do the trick.

Not for a log that big but can be done. Personally the biggest blade I have for the sawzall is a 14" blade. For the average home owner why would I need bigger...

'cause as all us men know, big as it may be, it'd better be bigger still :P
