Rear Stands
« on: December 03, 2004, 02:01:17 AM »
My parents told me they would get me a rear stand for Christmas so I don't drop the bike when changing oil again.  I've been on the internet for awhile and I've been having trouble finding something.  I'm looking for something good quality, stable, and $200 or less.  Anyone got anything?

Pit Bull stands are the absolute best in my opinion, very sturdy, well made from quality matierials. You can pick them up for about $140-170.00 depending where you get it from (or less).

I bought a Martin Racing Products rear stand and I like it very much.  It's made out of aluminum and the four wheels keep the bike nice and sturdy while it's in the air.  :thumb:

if u get a pitpull, get the SS rear stand.  it is both spooled and swingarm compatible (not single-sided swingarm tho).  got mine from slava at flatout for 125 + 18 shipped.  if u order the front at the same time shipping stays at 18.  the front NEW stand's (lifts bike by triple clamp) standard clip fits the 03-04 600rr's dunno about 05's.  spools cost me 9 bones, i think.

I bought myself a hindle and I like it. Easy to lift the bike and seems to be very stable. It's odd but when I did my oil change I actually put it back down on the side stand when i change the filter because the way it's angled the oil drips better through the headers on it's side. I would have kept the hindle front I bought but I need to get a triple tree stand because I want to be able to work on the forks and unforunately hindle only has the fork style front
