The factory guys aren't going to come out and tell you what's on their bikes, and other than some basic components, neither are any of the semi-factory or high-level privateer guys. Most of them are in this business and sell their services. The back of the pack AMA level guy is the same as the fast club racer, that you can talk to at any local club race and is more than willing to tell you anything at all. Mostly because at the national level, any edge that you give away means dollars out of your pocket. You know most of what's on my bike... basically stock bike off showroomm floor + $5k at dealer cost or about $8k retail.
If I were you, I'd check out a local or not so local CCS, WSMC, WERA, OMRRA, MRA or whatever level club race is close and find a 600 RR at the track and talk to the guy riding it. Probably at least half of them will be full of shit, but thats for you to decipher.
And most of all, it doesn't matter what you do to the bike, if you're not running up front consistently in a club level expert race, you're nowhere near ready to try to qualify for a national, so learn to ride on the limit of yours and the bike's abilities...
