Sure, depending upon how fast you are you can either follow me or one of my buddies who are faster.  I run about 1:50 on my SV on street tires (208's), and will be on Pilot Race's for the first time this week so I hope to pick up a second or two.  I have a couple friends who are going to be there that run in the low 1:4x's too who can show you good lines.  If you look at the track map (http://www.midamericamotorplex.com/code/track_main.asp) , turn 3 and turn 14 are the tricky ones.  I'll be on my white SV with black/red stripes (http://www.zr-7.com/SV/svdecal.jpg).  It'll be parked close to my black (cough..... cough..... mercedes.... cough...) SUV.

What kind of SUV?  G500 or ML500?

ML500.  Works good for pulling my trailer......... as well as blowing away unsuspecting punks in riced-out Civics....  8)

LOL... Nice SUV  ;D  Did you get the sport package, which they have a round fog light and little different front end.  At one point I wanted to buy a ML350 with Sport package around 44K, looks kind like ML55.  but cant afford it now.   :-\

302hp, but you cant beat a civic with nos..   :)

Nope no sport package, I got the Inspiration package.  And I don't really go out racing with it, but I have shown a few knuckleheads who's the boss when the light turns green!!  :D  It accelerates pretty good for a big heavy truck, I think it's around 6.5 secs 0-60.

How would you compare it to the other luxury SUVs? I heard the BMW isn't too bad.

Ok, back to the track, looks like it could be in the high 40's-low 50's at night so the first sessions in the morning will be a little chilly.  Take it easy, that track is a little slippery when its cold.  I'll be praying that there isn't a car day on Friday beforehand, otherwise they always drag a bunch of dirt on the track from their off-track excursions and it takes half a day to get a good race line worn in.......  :(

No sweepers?   :-X  I'm gunna check with a buddy who can't make it down and see if I can borrow his tire warmers and generator.  Arrr, I can't wait, I think I'm dying of anticipation.  I'll be looking for you when I get down there.

ARe you camping at the track?  Cuz I'm sleepin' in the back of me car.

No long sweepers, it's a farily tight track.  I won't be camping, I only live 45 minutes away so I'll be coming over in the mornings and sleeping at home.  I usually try to pit on the side closest to the clubhouse if there are spots available, the east side.

I meant street sweepers, like...you know, what they use to clean off the track?

Yea, they have a sweeper, but it still doesn't scrub the surface perfectly, particulary when it's mud that's been drug onto the track.  Usually takes a while for the line to be cut again.
