Didn't run a search, and with all the super squids around, I wouldn't be suprised if someone has already asked. I'm asking not because I feel I'm ready to start sliding around my rear tire, but just because I got to thinking about it at my last track day, and got curious.
There were a bunch of stunna-tools out at the track riding around locking up their rear tires before turns >

...and it got me thinking about it...
What exactly happens when racers slide their rear tire around? Is it just really hard downshifts and you're hard enough on your front breaks to get preasure off your back tire so that it is able to slide around more freely? Any of you track-stars wanna take a shot at explaining it to me?
Again...not ready to try it, but I'm curious as to what the people who are doing it are doing.
