Anyone else a gamer  ;D?  This game is a pretty average racing game...although I think it would've been more fun, had it been more like Gran Turismo, and had commercially available bikes, that you can modify.

;DI have MotoGP 3 on PS2 too, love using the RC211V, simulation mode is awesome, really captures the physics of the motorcycles.

Yea, but you know nothing beats the real thing, I wish I had a RC211V :'(. I guess this is the closest thing next (besides my RR) to the RC211V I'll ever get >:(.

This is the best motorcycle racing game available for the Playstation 2, the simulation mode is so close to the real thing (e.g. accelerate too much during turn you highside).
Couple nice bikes in there too, RC211V, GSV-R, M1...
Maybe you should rent it first :).

MY REVIEW:
This game is fun, but at some points frusterating.  I always seem to "pop a wheelie" when I launch.  Some of the challenges seem horribly impossible (and the rewards are either very good, or very lame).  It's still nothing like actually riding.
I'd like this game if it were more like the Gran Turismo series.  Where you could buy commercially available vehicles (or even be able to modify them).  Every bike in this game is from Moto GP, and you can't modify them (other than gear ratios and suspension), so no aftermarket parts, etc.
It's a fun racing game, but it doesn't stack up to Gran Turismo, or anything like that.  More pictures in the game, of that girl on the cover of the box would be nice (you can get some through winning challenges  ;)).

There is weight shifting in this game, just hold up if you don't want to pop a wheelie when you launch.

the controls are pressure sensitive just like gran turismo so u can accelerate, but not too much....also press 'up' on the left analog stick before entering a turn, and 'down' while exiting the turn.  This shifts ur weight forward while u break and back while u accelerate....u will then be able to accelerate quite a bit without highsiding!!!!! ;D

I have MotoGP2 for the Xbox, and it's one of the hardest racing games I ever played, because the physics are so much different than a auto racer. I finished 1st in all the circuit races on beginner, but pro is kicking my ass! The online racing is the best part about it though, cause every one races different and you can trash talk while you race.

racing with sim on has helped me riding my bike.  getting the feel for recognizing braking points, NOT like gt3 where the shift light flashes, GAY.  and also changing braking points.  It also helps with memorizing tracks and changing entry/exit/aiming points, and stuff like that.  Not as exciting as riding the track for real, but nevertheless, similar as far as mental processes go.  Couch training for the track I says.

Sim is a good thing in my opinion, it helps you mentaly overcome some things or even teach you.  I know you don't ride a motorcycle with a controller but still it can help you understand the physics and the way a bike would behave in a certain situation.
