It depends on what else you have insured. Who you're currently with. What your driving record is like. If you will be financing the bike. There is simply too many options..although AAA is a great company. Pricey but great.

If you are armed forces or a direct realitive of someone who is armed forces I'd usually say look at USAA - but they've become less and less "bike friendly" over the past few years...  I'm actaully looking at swaping to Farmers (who I have my home policy with)

Already with State Farm, who doesn't insure bikes, and no loan will be taken out on the bike once I get it about this time next year. I live in Texas if that has any bearing. And I'm not in the armed forces

Nope it's called Public Liability and Property Damage. So if I injure someone, or ruin their property up to a million dollars, my insurance pays the bill while I just pay a $500 deductible.

I see..... Isn't what I need like "personal injury protection" or "bodily liability" or something? Because you don't really need property insurance, unless mandated, because the bike only weighs 410 lbs so its not going to cause much damage.

What happens if something you do (accident or mechanical failure, unforeseen circumstances), starts a fire that burns down 1 or 2 houses? Then what?  ???
It's your call, just making you think about it. Ultimately it's your choice what kind of coverage you want. I don't know many people who have such a... robust policy as I have.

I'll take my chances with the whole burning down houses stuff. But I was quoted $115/month from progressive with:
Bodily injury and property damage:30/60/25
Uninsured/under insured motorists (lots of them in Texas): 30/60/25
Medical payments: 10,000/person
And $500 comprehensive deductibles, and that's it. Anything else I need or don't need?
