$500 ticket

So i was pulled over for the first time on my bike and got hit with a 496 dollar bill. I wasnt speeding, I didnt burn a light, oh no i had a fender eliminator and a two brothers exahust. This is insane i cant beleive the police have nothing better to do anyways i am now riding the stock fender untill i find a new fender eliminator that is a little less illegal. FUCK THE POLICE

ummm put the stock exhaust back on and the stock tail and take it to court, if your in cali...get used to it...

wow thats a bit much.  I got one in the navajo nation for 478 bones for speeding 83 in a 55. That was bogus.  Good luck with that and yes i would fight it.

Those are all correctional citations. Also, unless your bike is a 2010 or newer, there are no immission regulations on motorcycles. Which means you cannot get a ticket for your exhaust, unless it is something like disturbing the peace or noise polution or something else like that.

^ technically isnt modifying the exhaust anyway illegal? arnt all aftermarket exhausts "off road only" dont kill me but correct me if im wrong cuz this is the understanding i have. if a cop really wanted to be a dick he can give you a ticket for an non oem exhaust

You're right the law is any change from OEM.. What do you do for a living because you sound like a cop.

Anyways I am going to take it to court what is the worst that will happen they make me pay the whole thing, it's worth a shot

It's a bit different in Oklahoma. You don't have to have stock exhaust on any vehicle. It just has to be an aftermarket stock replacement (meet noise restrictions), we don't have emission control here.

It's the same in Cali...Cops will try to book you for aftermarket exhaust (which people have it confused, aftermarket means what? They should research that to begin with) If you tell the cop to fuck off and let them know that there is no emission check on bikes prior to 2009, the only thing they can book you for is, like I said before, noise pollution or disturbing the peace or anything bullshit like that.

Im a cop! Sounds like he was doing his job. i get pulled over and ticketed too, and i take my punishment like a man. dont hate cuz he's doing his job. thats like saying fuck a secretary for typing paperwork. maybe you should be a responsible adult and research laws before you modify your vehicle. Everyone hates the cops until they need them.
