ummm well in WA it was usually 5mph over was the grace lol, cali is a different story... i will tell you that when your late for guard duty it is highly ill-advisable to go 130 mph on the 60 eastbound.... hahaha thank god i was in uniform i would have been arrested and car impounded (car not motorcycle)

Here in Missouri it depends on the cop. I've been pulled over for "weaving side to side" in my own lane, or doing 3 over.. But :+1: for wearing uniform.. I've done 110 past a patrol car before I realized it and the cop flicked his lights on, started to pull out, saw my uniform and went back to the shoulder and left me alone hahaha
Another time I had somebody in a dodge charger try to race me when i was headed home from drill in uniform and a cop pulled him over even though I was way ahead and way faster!  :fu: lol
I agree with the earlier comment about going faster than traffic for the most part, but not too much faster.. if I need to get past somebody all it takes is a quick flick of the wrist and they're in my rearview before I have a chance to blink :) I see a lot of guys around here wearing shorts and flip flops doing 100+ on bikes all the time.. :squid:
Life is short. Being roadkill makes it shorter!

If you pass the 60 often..swing by and say hi. I'm working at the Mitsubishi dealer off the 60 in City of Industry.

And I've heard stories where guys fly past cops, knew they were caught, pulled over on their own and waited for the cop to come. Cop ends up being appreciative of the biker's courtesy and actually lets them off with a "slow down" and "have a nice day"

Well, I didn't mean hauling ass, I just meant a consistent speed faster than traffic flow so YOU are constantly moving out of people's blind spots and therefore don't have to worry about someone putting you in their blind spot.

Did you like it there? I have been seriously considering moving up there for the weather and mountains. Pros/cons?

Thx guys. I did the whole safety course. Had trouble with the figure 8 part. I'm just glad I did it. You learn a lot from it.
