Need some CBR600RR race info
« on: January 23, 2004, 03:48:48 PM »
Heres my mods;  .90 springs with Racetech internals, triple Penske, I weigh 160lb with gear and race on Pilot Race 2's, CFM rearsets, etc.  I like a firm suspension but really just want to know about some ride heights and about ground clearance issues and such.  At TGPR my best race time is 1 second off the record on my ole F4i so I'm not the next Doohan but not squidly either. :)  A friend that does some AMA and WERA stuff said to toss the tip over sensor cause his was acting up at Road Atlanta, and to trim the pegs for clearance and the Power Commander was not needed.  He is also a very experienced bike tech and fast but I wanted to hear from some others that race the RR.  Thanks, Dan.

Jeff has noted issues with the tip over sensor but I think he moved it instead of getting rid of it all together.  Have not really heard anything about ground clearance issues.  As far as the PC it depends on exhaust work or other modifcations you plan on doing for performance.  I am sure Phil, Jeff, Terry, HT and others will chime in with their more knowledgable  views.
Bring on the squids, I need part for my bike.
