Clip-on advice
« on: July 22, 2010, 07:18:38 PM »
Just bought a '99 CBR 600 F4 as a track-only bike.  Has some nice goodies (Race Tech, etc.) but the stock bars.  I'm considering Woodcraft clip-ons (I like  Woodcraft stuff and especially like that they have a split clamp so they go on without disassembling the front end).  Does anyone know of any "gotchas" in installing clip-ons on the F4?  Difficulties in moving the controls to the new bars?  Any info greatly appreciated.

You have to drill the hole on the right hand side for the throttle tube.

Yep, pretty straight forward and typical.  Like beer wrote, the only thing you'll have to modify is drill holes for the locating pins on the controls.

beer  and Jason748,

Thanks very much for the responses.  Sounds like a straightforward swap.
