custom seat

I'm covering my seat with a luimoto cover and I'm curious if anyone has any experience/advice on cutting the existing foam away and getting a gel insert installed? Theres a local upholstery guy that will install it for me.

any thoughts?

I sent my seat up to a company called www.knoplace.com to put gel, and memory foam in my seat and re-upholster.  It is awesome!  Such a huge difference.  The only thing I do not like is when the re-upholstered it, it is smaller then the original, and you can see inside the bike.  So, just make sure you don't pull it to tight when putting on new material.
