Hi all I'm Steve and I'm from a small town in Warwickshire nr Stratford upon Avon. i've had my bike for a while now and i've only just found this forum so i'll look forward to all the advice and help.  I'm going to try and answer some of these question

1.  Boxers/Briefs/Thong/Grannies/Commando:                                            Anything that is clean
2.  Years riding:                                                                                            2 1/2 yrs.
3.  Biggest mistake in life you've ever made:                                               i've made to many to list  :banghead:
4.  Other bikes owned:                                                                                 my CBR is my first
5.  Is synthetic oil better than dino oil?                                                         ???
6.  When was the last time you lubed your chain?                                       About a week ago I need advice on that whats the best stuff to use?
7.  87 or 91 octane?                                                                                     High Octane
8.  Number of crashes?                                                                                Bike - 0 Car - 4
9.  Where is the bank angle sensor located and what does it do?                 :-X
10. Is a cush drive significant to you?
11. Favorite movie:                                                                                       i've got many
12. When was the last time you were kicked in the groin?                           20/12/1999 i think
13. How do you pronounce "Akrapovic"?                                                     with alot of flem in ya mouth
14. Age/sex/location                                                                                     28 - Male - Alcester

what year of cbr are you riding? most cbr's are cheap gas, or medium grade. you don't have to put the expensive stuff in it. they aren't that high of a compression of an engine.

My CBR is an 07 plate i got it brand new in september 2007 and I'm so happy with it. I like to put the high octain in it cause it is a good fuel plus my bike deservs the best i hope you all agree. thanks for the welcome guys  ;D

you get more power from running the lowest grade fuel you can without any pinging. it's funny how fuel ratings work. the reason you run higher rated fuel in a high compression engine is it has less "bang" to it. lower rating has more bang. to put it into very simple terms. you can run a low 90 octane and be fine with the 07. just because it's more expensive doesn't mean it's better.

does more harm than good.

yep, there are some nice threads around here about octane ratings and what to use on your bike. i did the same mistake with high octane, untill i saw the light :P

so in a nut shell don't bother with fancy expensive stuff just stick to everyday unleaded fuel yeah thanks guys you've not only saved me money but you've saved me some hassle thanks :thumb:
