not really safe.  for the crowd.
someone tried to steal my katana last year, then they realized it was a katana and stopped, then ran it over with their vehicle..  quote from *~c_dubya~*

oic but going down a busy highway in third gear standing on the rear pegs trying to cause a 20 car pile up is safer then a 20mph wheelie yet Im hated on, its ok .

A 400lb bike sliding into a car does alot less damage then a 400lb bike flying into a 50lb kid. I never said wheelies on the highway are smart. But in the event something did happen the probability for someone getting killed would be alot less if the bike hit a car VS a small child.

i've only just started doing wheelies (or trying)
i notice in second gear its actually quite hard to get the front up, you have to end up giving it full throttle to get it up atol O.o

however in first gear just a little throttle and its up, i am trying to be really careful not to flip it over, infact that is why i've always held back from doing wheelies. i do make sure that nothings on the road and theres no people anywhere etc.

hey but its really good fun though, done it the first time today, kinda by accident in second gear going full out and the front came up for a second haha, so i thought why not give this a practise.

ps i'm getting really good at low speeds tight turns now, i find that i havent been leaning over enough in the direction that im going because im scared of dropping the thing.

but now im alot more confident and seem to be fine with riding this type of bike

^good for you. you got to trust your tires. about the one wheel ride, i was talking to my friend and he keeps 8-10 psi in his rear tire. by no means am i telling anyone that they should do this.

im waking the dead here but i got bored and started looking at old stuff.

ive got some long wheelie on my card at pretty good speeds. the only video i have of any of them is here. im the only guy in full leathers and on a 600.  the better wheelie on the vid is around 1:16. had to drop the front for the corner.
