It's like a semi-controlled, near-death experience

« on: January 27, 2010, 04:58:47 AM »
I know they're about 6 months late, but I thought I'd throw up some links to the watermarked versions of the pictures from my Buttonwillow track weekend.  Despite enormous complications, it all worked out to be the absolute best time I've ever had on the RR.  Also, try not to laugh too hard, it was my first time, lol.

Thanks!  I can't wait to go back and get better!  Even though it was 113 F outside, it was so incredibly fun.  I instantly understood and shared the addiction to track riding as soon as I got out there.   Cool

Thanks guys!  I didn't want to go home when the weekend was over!  I had a chance to work with an instructor for a few laps.  He borrowed a new GSX-R that had a transponder, slipper clutch, a quickshifter, and seemingly a lot more top-end than my bike and I still managed to hang with him, haha.  He said I had really good drive out of the corners, which made me feel awesome, lol.  Thanks to his bike having a transponder, which I really want to get now, he said at our fastest we were doing 2:05 laps.  This blew my mind, as well as finally settling the debate with all my car-driving friends as to whether my bike would be faster around the same configuration at Buttonwillow than any of their sports cars, haha.
