Stay Away from Tripage
« on: January 24, 2009, 02:39:40 AM »

A friend of mine in California purchased a Taillight from Tripage.  He paid $200 for a complete package.  Firstly he only received half the package.  Brackets were missing, instructions etc.  But most of all concerning was that the lens was cracked and strongly appeared it had been glued back together.  After seeing this for myself, I wanted others to be warned as in other forums this is not the first time such business practices from Tripage have been ustilised.

I bought something from him in the past and had no issues.   Try not to ruin a persons name and business unless he isnt willing to suit your needs to make things right.   Accidents do happen so give him a chance.

Normally I would not, but after doing my own research I discovered an unsavory pattern in his trading practices.  I am not trying to ruin this person's business.  A person does that themselves.  I am trying to ensure that others have this information available so they can make an informed decision.  At the end of the day people will either buy from him or not regardless of what I say.

I was hoping you could, or maybe your friend could get his/her ass in here and explain it.

I've seen his dealings on 600rr.net from years ago, he's on riders.com and is a 100% stand up seller (to the best of my knowledge) to everyone.

I cannot speak about his past business practices, only recent ones with my friend and concerning intel from other websites that Tripage is linked with IWINMOTO.  You can either ignore this information or take it on board for your next purchase decision.

I agree 100%.  If it was something that happened to you then you could talk about it.  It did not happen to you so I don't see how you feel you have the right to badmouth the company.  Maybe your friend broke it and tried to fix it and then when you noticed it he was to ashamed to admit he was a dumbass and fess up so he blamed the supplier.  I have bought many products from tripage and have not had a single complaint about the product or their service.  If your friend wants to bitch about it give him the site info and he can join until then shut your mouth.

Very true.

Xodus, you said in another thread that YOU were the one who purchased a tail light from this guy and took 5 months to get it. Why should we believe a damn word you say on here if you can't get your buddies/your own story straight. Thank you for your warning us about this guy's business, but don't constantly bash on one bad transaction.
What are you living for?

I stumbled onto this thread.  I know this thread is very old and don't want to bring up old things but something has been said about our name and our practices.
Xodus we have nothing to hide here so you can go ahead and post up what you believe about us being affiliated with Iwin, I can tell you that I have never met any that works or worked for them, or for that matter even spoken to anyone who works for them.  As far as a broken light received, Without an email to try and resolve an issue that we don't know about, not sure how this works.  Am I supposed to read your friends mind and be able to fix the problem?  We have an email that is checked daily just a simple email would have fixed all your problems.
Back to Iwin: We took on the challenge to fix their messed up taillight because they were failing.  We did not like the quality of the product they were making and decided to move foreword with a taillight of our own.(IT)  I don't even know if Iwin knew we were fixing their lights.  We did not start doing this till we heard they were closing up shop.
If this can't be added please remove.
