Rrrrrr.....Poefff
« on: June 17, 2003, 12:30:17 PM »
Every race begins from 0 km/h.
I have been practicing , practicing and practicing but i still dont like my start.
Its seems to be fast alrighd , but far from perfect.
I have three start senarios.

The first senario is making a lot off noise 1/2 maby 3/4 trotel before i start and just pop my cluch , to my surprise front wheel stays down and the first seconds i dont have launching power what so ever feels like my engine is sleeping. One time i gave my trotel a good swing and my enigne made a very strange noise when i popt the clucht , a short high scriming noise ?

Second making no noise no trotel before i start and just give more trotel when i am doing less clutching , this is fast but feels like i am holding in because my front wheel doesnt feel light.

Third is the holy shit i just dit a wheely , to me its still a misterie i thougt that for doing wheely it was poping clutch like the first senario but that was defenatly not the case it has somthing to do with the clutch but i didnt figure it out jet but doing a wheely and starting very fast are two things that are very close togheter i think.

PS i also read the pussy artical , helpt me a littel bit to understand the wheely thing but it is still a mysterie for me.

heh....first off....this bike dosnt have any low end power at all....i think my 1987 hurricane would kick its ass off the line.  just work on feathering out the clutch as you gain speed......popping the clutch should just send the front end into orbit unless your still at low revs.......just keep working on it....and dont short shift it....remember all of this bikes power is up high.  dont worry about the wheelies yet  ;)

from how it sounds i think that when you just "pop" out your clutch when your at "higher" RPM's isnt very good for your clutch. well at least i know that for a car its not. not only that but its putting a lot of stress on all the other parts that move your bike. anyone else agree?
oohhh its just a 600..........
