is this normal?

Quick question.. When I'm driving on the highway at about 75 MPH in 6th gear, the RPM's are around 7k. is this normal or is this higher than what it should be? I'm not sure if the bike has stock gearing or not... I bought it used from a dealership

Yes that is perfectly normal! Unless you are riding a Harley!?

Count the teeth on the sprockets.

Front should be 16, rear should be 43.

If it's other than that, the gearing has been changed...

Isn't the number stamped on the sprocket? Counting the teeth sounds tedious  ???

RPM/MPH for mine is about 10 off, so if I'm at 6500 RPMs I'm at 75 MPH in 6th gear.

geez at the track I normally race at I don't even hit sixth gear.  I should put it in sometime to make sure it's still there  :thumb:
