HYPERPRO RSC steering damper.

Ok my first mod aside from the 15/45 520 conversion I did last fall, is for the track as well when I start racing, it's a HyperPro RSC(Reactive Safety Control) steering dampener, it has speed sensitive dampening u can read about it on their website, the cost was about $750, but worth every penny. I just road for the first time on some crazy ass bumpy tankslapper/headhskae inducing roads, and not once did the bars go move, it was amazing!!!!!!!! Incredibley confidence inspiring and allows the tires and suspension to do the work, was rolling the throttle very aggressively coming out of bumpy corners purposely trying to get a mini slapper or some headshake, but not once did I get it, I tried at slow speeds high speeds and nothing! I highly recommend this dampener,
!!!!!!!!
It is a piston style and I got the polished/silver colored one with gold accents its nice looking, very trick. I also scrubbed my new pilot power rear in tonight a bit, its not 100% but pretty damn close and better than hitting the track for the race school this weekend on a fresh one, so I will be going a hell of a lot faster on the track, IO cant say enough about it! I forgot however to turn the dampening down on it when I stopped to fill up and when I left I went to turn slowly and almost dropped the bike it was funny, and a cute chick was chatting me up at the pumps, she like my big dampener i think
I also did a 3rd gear wheelie over a crest by accident and slammed the front down hard and banged my nuts, aside from that instance, the landings are so stable and soft with the dampener it is amazing. I also put a new sprocket on a Renthal 45 tooth and I love the look of it,the bike feels more powerful since the vortex has aboutr 8 teeth missing when i chucked it.The Renthal feels much more durable and should last longer, I woudl definitely by another one again, the vortex was just pure bling. I CANNOT WAIT TO RIP THE TRACK UP THIS WEEKEND! I do need to make some tweaks to my suspension I have never touched anything since I bought the bike and feel setting the sag would help or at leastg adding some preload, Ill probably get help at the track so I dont screw it up and ruin my weekend.

What's that in American? $19.95? I don't like the piston style dampers because they're so big. I like my Scotts so far. I've had a good bit of light front end coming out of turns with the 15/45 gears and never really had any headshake.

The funny part is Fret, I know it is damper not dampener, I didnt even realize I was typing dampener in my post, that is weird, anyways this thing is incredible, I highly recommend one, even tho I believe you dont need one on the street the thing is simply too amazing to not have. the damper is $430 the bracket/mount thingy was 310 I had a discount nothign special and the total was like 745/750. Ill get some pics taken soon.

if i had enough $$$ i could've gotten a Matris steering damper but choosing between a slip-on & a steering damper on a limited budget made me sway over to the slip-on which btw hasn't arrived yet
. should business pick-up again i'll me a damper along with a set of frame sliders plus a 15T sprocket.
btw craig wat renthal sprocket did you get? plain or anodized?

Watch out for the seals with the HyperPro's, they like to leak so try to keep residue and/or oils-cleaners off the rod. The older ones had a big problem with that, I haven't heard too much on the newer ones.

they fixed that problem it hjas two chambers inside, and is designed in such a fashion that oil cant get out and dirt cannot get in, I read all about it before my purchase.

sure sounds like an anodized sprocket 'coz mine's in plain aluminum but so far after riding 3000kms on it it doesn't show signs of premature wear & i was expecting it to last about 5000kms but apparently it would last twice as long as that as long as i keep it well cleaned & lubed. btw make sure you order a spare 15T sprocket just in case one of the teeth goes AWOL on you.
