Ok, this is the generic walk through, I haven't done a 600RR some some stuff my be in different locations, but this should give you a general idea. There is 2 methods, quick, and thourough. First, we'll do quick:
With bike cold, remove radiator cap. Then remove drain bolt. It usually located right on the bottom of the water pump. If you don't know where the pump is, follow the hose coming out of the bottom of the radiator, and it will lead to it. Once the coolant stops coming out, replace the drain bolt, and you're done. Now for thorough:
Do everything described above. Then, take the hose off the water pump. Take your garden hose and insert it into the coolant hose you just removed. It should fit snug and then I usually lightly clamp it in place with the hose clamp. Now, go turn on the hose, about half way. Don't go giving her full blast, you just need a gentle stream. After a few seconds, water will start coming out of the water pump inlet the hose was connected to. It will be green at first, then get cloudy, then clear. Once it's clear, you have a fully flushed system. Hook the coolant hose back to the water pump, and fill her up with water. All done.

Umm don't you mean put coolant in, not fill her with water and you're done? Personally I would wanna use coolant instead of water especially not tap water. If I did do it the way you said I would flush the system with distilled water afterwards. But I don't plan on doing that until spring.

Oops forgot to tell you that you can get the coolant that's tracksafe. It has to be something free I just can't remember what it had to not have in it. But I'm sure the trackdays guys will be able to say what they did.

You're thin king of silicate free. It's motorcycle safe, but not track safe. Most  tracks won't allow anything but straight water and water wetter. Thats what I run. Distilled water, btw.

I guess it depends on the track and the orginzation thats putting on the event. I think he used Evans or some shit. He's in CCS and they may allow that stuff. I don't think WERA does, and I know NESBA ande Team Pro Motion don't. I don't think Fastrax does either.

Thx for the help.  I am going to use distilled water and Redline water wetter for corrosion resistance.  The whole job was a pain in the butt but I got it done.  Thx again, Hondatech!!!

Hey! Keep in mind that if you do remove your anti-freeze for water wetter/etc. , you won't have sufficient extreme cold-weather protection.

For example... I just recently did the anti-freeze/water wetter swap for a trackday, but because I live in the NorthEast and my bike stays in a non-climate controlled garage, IT GETS COLD!!!! Cold enough to probably freeze the water wetter/distilled water solution that's in my bike.

Know what that could mean? Possibly A BIG FAT REPAIR BILL FOR A NEW RADIATOR THAT FROZE THEN CRACKED OVER THE WINTER.

Think about it (for those fo you that live in a cold climate).
You meet the nicest people on a Honda!

You'd be lucky if it was only a radiator. The real danger, is the liquid still in the motor may feeze and crack the engine block.

The green stuff doesn't freeze. We're talking about when people drain it and fill with water.

ALL anti-freezes will freeze at some temperature! Just ask some Canadians! My Dad told me about the time he went on a trip across the country in his '67 Mustang, back in them days. He left MD in early october and went south. He took his sweet ass time and didn't leave to come back until like a week before Christmas. Well while going across North Dakota he stopped at a place and ate. When he came out there was sludgy anti-freeze under the car. It was like -5o out and the anti-freeze had started to freeze. It turned into sludge so bad that it broke his radiator line. Luckily for him he didn't stay overnight and a guy had a radiator line in stock. They also changed out the coolant before he left. I read that the coolant is rated not to freeze down to a certain temp but it could still thicken at a higher temp. Hopefully here in MD I will never have to worry about those types of temps!
