You laugh, but that's what happened to my last suit.  Brand new, only worn a few times on the street to break it in.  Hell, even the pucks were pristine.  3/4 of the way through the day, lowsided and blew out the stitching in a few spots and wore the leather clear through on the shoulder to the armor.
